Melbourne’s Summer Jam is more than just a basketball tournament—it’s a full-blown cultural phenomenon. Held annually at Peanut Farm Reserve in St Kilda, this streetball festival has transformed from a grassroots community event into one of the most highly anticipated basketball showcases in Australia.

This year’s Summer Jam, held from February 7th to 9th, 2025, saw some of the best streetball talent battle it out across various competitions, including men’s and women’s 5-on-5 championships, U21 matchups, a wheelchair division, and the electrifying national slam dunk contest. The competition was fierce, with teams going head-to-head for a $20,000 cash prize and ultimate streetball glory

 

But Summer Jam isn’t just about what happens on the court—it’s a celebration of sport, music, and urban culture. The weekend featured live DJ sets, streetwear pop-ups, food trucks, and interactive experiences, including NBA 2K gaming stations. This year, the event also turned up the star power, with NBA player Lance Stephenson making a special guest appearance—and in a surprise moment, Drake, a known basketball fanatic, made a surprise visit to take in the action.

Across the three days, our team ensured that players, spectators, and special guests could enjoy the festival in a safe and secure environment. As always, working alongside the Summer Jam crew was a successful collaboration, and it’s been great to watch the event grow year after year.
