IFAS Group is proud to announce that our Innovate Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) has been formally endorsed by Reconciliation Australia.
This endorsement marks an important step forward in our ongoing commitment to reconciliation and reflects the work our organisation has undertaken to strengthen relationships, respect, and opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
Our RAP journey began with the development of our Reflect RAP. During that phase we focused on learning, listening, and building internal awareness within our organisation. The endorsement of our Innovate RAP represents the next stage of that journey. It moves our commitment from planning and reflection into practical action across our business operations.
The Innovate RAP outlines clear steps for IFAS Group to deepen engagement with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, strengthen cultural understanding within our workforce and create opportunities through partnerships and employment pathways.
As a Melbourne based company operating across security, traffic management and maintenance services, we recognise the importance of understanding the communities in which we work. The RAP provides a structured framework that helps guide how we approach this responsibility.
Over the life of the Innovate RAP we will focus on several key areas:
- Strengthening relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander organisations and community groups.
- Building cultural awareness and understanding among our staff and leadership team.
Identifying opportunities to engage Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander businesses within our supply chain. - Supporting employment pathways and participation within our industry.
IFAS Group has always believed in building strong relationships and maintaining a workplace culture that values respect and diversity. Our team already reflects a wide range of cultural backgrounds and perspectives, and the RAP process helps us formalise and strengthen that commitment.
Reconciliation is not a one-time initiative. It is an ongoing process that requires genuine effort, reflection, and accountability. Through our Innovate RAP we aim to ensure that reconciliation becomes a practical and visible part of how we operate as a business.
We would like to thank Reconciliation Australia for their guidance throughout the development of our plan, as well as the many individuals within our organisation who contributed to its creation.
IFAS Group looks forward to implementing the commitments outlined in our Innovate RAP and continuing to play a positive role in building stronger relationships and greater understanding across the communities we serve.
